Land's End Kennel is located in Assonet, MA on 16 acres that it shares with my Race Horse farm. Over the years I've become smitten with numerous breeds like the Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, Cardigan Welsh Corgis, and Jack Russell Terriers. But, above them all my heart belongs to the Swissies. They're wonderful dogs who'll do just about anything for you. They'll go on a 2-mile pack hike with you or they'll watch an all day CSI: marathon with you. Their versatilities don't stop there either. You can teach your Swissie how to pull a cart or teach them how to herd sheep or even your kids if you put your mind to it. Which brings be to my next topics: Kids. There is nothing Swissies love more than kids. Most of the dogs we place end up with a family with numerous kids. All my dogs are of course AKC registered and health screened. All our dogs get tested for Hip Dysphasia and Elbow Dysphasia, and they also get their eyes screened for common problems like Distichiasis. If you do get a puppy I guarantee you the health of its parents, since genetics are uncontrollable. Dogs are just like humans - you can have the two most healthy parents in the world give birth to a baby with a disease that got past down recessively throughout it's ancestry. Breeding sound, healthy dogs is my number one priority.
